Exploration and Production Analyst

Compensation: $100K - $120K Bonus Potential

Location: Midland, TX (onsite, M-F).

Position: Exploration and Production Systems Analyst

Inceed has partnered with a growing oil and gas company to help find a skilled Exploration and Production Systems Analyst to join their team! This position provides an exciting opportunity to work within a dynamic industry that is constantly evolving. The role focuses on supporting various applications critical to business operations while collaborating with multiple departments and business units. Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support and training to end users to ensure application stability and smooth adoption of new systems.
• Troubleshoot issues, conduct root cause analyses, and implement effective resolutions.
• Collaborate with vendors for software defect logging, enhancement requests, and managing upgrades or hotfix deployments.
• Monitor support metrics and application usage data to identify trends, drive improvements, and align with SLAs.
• Maintain system configurations and support business process updates.
• Ensure compliance with change management procedures and implement system changes per established controls.
• Partner with the IT Infrastructure team to manage seamless application installations and upgrades.
• Monitor application performance and proactively identify potential issues to prevent disruptions.
• Participate in on-call rotation to provide after-hours support as needed.
  
  

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3 years of experience in software/application support.
• Prior experience in the oil and gas industry, with knowledge of related applications.
• Beginner to intermediate proficiency in SQL.
• Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  
  

Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

• Familiarity with applications like WellView, SiteView, IFS, Merrick (ProCount, Carte, Field Operator), Intelex, ComboCurve, Aries, or RodStar.
• Experience with Spotfire and/or PowerBI.
• Background in service desk environments, including ticketing and change management processes.
