Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support and training to end users to ensure application stability and smooth adoption of new systems.
- Troubleshoot issues, conduct root cause analyses, and implement effective resolutions.
- Collaborate with vendors for software defect logging, enhancement requests, and managing upgrades or hotfix deployments.
- Monitor support metrics and application usage data to identify trends, drive improvements, and align with SLAs.
- Maintain system configurations and support business process updates.
- Ensure compliance with change management procedures and implement system changes per established controls.
- Partner with the IT Infrastructure team to manage seamless application installations and upgrades.
- Monitor application performance and proactively identify potential issues to prevent disruptions.
- Participate in on-call rotation to provide after-hours support as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3 years of experience in software/application support.
- Prior experience in the oil and gas industry, with knowledge of related applications.
- Beginner to intermediate proficiency in SQL.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Familiarity with applications like WellView, SiteView, IFS, Merrick (ProCount, Carte, Field Operator), Intelex, ComboCurve, Aries, or RodStar.
- Experience with Spotfire and/or PowerBI.
- Background in service desk environments, including ticketing and change management processes.
