Job Summary
The Junior Instructional Designer/Trainer will support the design, development, implementation, and facilitation of training courses. This role involves collaborating with subject matter experts (SMEs) to create engaging and interactive training materials. The ideal candidate will have a passion for learning and development, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the design and development of instructional materials, including e-learning modules, instructor-led training, job aids, and assessments.
- Collaborate with SMEs to gather content and ensure the accuracy and relevance of training materials.
- Utilize instructional design principles and methodologies to create engaging and interactive learning experiences.
- Develop storyboards, scripts, and course outlines.
- Create multimedia elements such as graphics, videos, and interactive activities.
- Maintain and update existing training materials as needed.
- Support the administration and maintenance of the Learning Management System (LMS).
- Conduct training sessions for colleagues at all levels, including new hires and experienced staff.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in instructional design and technology.
- 1-2 years of experience in instructional design or a related role.
- Knowledge of instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, Bloom’s Taxonomy).
- Experience with e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Rise, Camtasia).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or a related field preferred.
- Bilingual English/Haitian Creole
- Experience working in a corporate and/or manufacturing training environment.
- Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS).
