JOB DUTIES SUMMARY
The position of the Continuous Improvement Process Manager entails the evaluation and improvement of all processes in shipping receiving, logistics, production, supply, quality control, and quality assurance departments within the company’s operations.
This position will need to oversee that each department is successfully communicating and all company procedures are properly executed, along with streamlining communication and processes between the different regional distribution centers/facilities. The Continuous Improvement Process Manager will work in conjunction with the COO, Executive Director of Production, Director of Warehouse and Distribution, and the Director of Logistics to continuously reduce shrink and improve all company processes.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create and maintain all company operational processes and SOP’s for use in training and evaluation. Identify key KPM’s (Key Performance Measures), establish goals and create reports for senior management.
- Perform workplace safety audits and report findings to management with recommendations for continuous improvements.
- Work closely with the Director of Supply to evaluate all vendors to reduce rejection rates and reduce product loss.
- Perform root cause analysis across the organization on all events that contribute to company shrink and loss. Provide report to management for corrective actions and recommendations for improvement.
- Work in conjunction with the Chief Operations Officer to ensure the proper approved recommendations and solutions are put into place.
- Establish employee operations process training programs to be implemented across all operations areas of the organization. Conduct employee training on process changes based on approved process enhancements.
- Interface with sales, production, shipping, and quality control to reduce financial losses.
- Perform loss prevention investigations across the organization.
- Will implement acceptable Standard Operating Procedures to be used within the company as deemed necessary, and will follow already established SOP’s in order to ensure all company objectives are met.
- Provide regular performance reports as to the profitability against budgetary guidelines including labor and KPM’s.
- Will be required to hold regular scheduled meetings with all Regional General Managers to evaluate performance levels, discuss opportunities, needs and improvements.
- Will work closely with the Food Safety Manager to ensure all Federal and State regulatory guidelines are followed including.
- Other job responsibilities, skills, duties and requirements associated with this job may develop as the department builds itself, a flow chart will be created as the department is formed, to further depict the department’s organizational chart, procedures, and processes.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- 5 years in a management position required
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage personnel
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to learn and understand software systems and technologies
- Experience in produce preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Firm understanding of logistics, distribution, and shipping requirements and needs
- Industry knowledge
- Ability to travel to different Regional Distribution Centers and Facilities
