Job Overview
- This position manages the day-to-day operations of our supply chain and logistics processes. The ideal candidate will ensure that shipments are processed, scheduled, and delivered efficiently while maintaining strong relationships with vendors, carriers, and internal teams. This role requires excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to multitask, and a focus on maintaining smooth operations in a fast-paced environment.
- This position must be able to work in both a warehouse and office environment. This position requires someone is able to lift at least 25 lbs. with no issues and move very quickly move between the both environments to ensure operations are running smoothly and everything is accurate & precise. While in the warehouse, this position must ensure they are wearing steel-toed boots, and work-appropriate clothes that are not excessively baggy. At times, eye protection and gloves are strongly encouraged if the task requires it.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Shipment Coordination:
- Use company tools (MS Office Suite, WMS, & ERP/SRP) to plan, schedule, and track shipments to ensure timely delivery to customers or destinations.
- Prepare and process delivery orders to facilitate the shipping and delivery process.
- Coordinate with carriers, freight forwarders, and warehouse staff to streamline logistics operations.
- Must have importing experience
- Delivery Management:
- Arrange deliveries following the FIFO (First-In-First-Out) method to ensure proper inventory rotation and minimize aging stock risks.
- Work closely with warehouse teams to ensure timely loading and dispatching of goods.
- All paperwork should be verified to ensure orders match the shipping inventories and bill of lading

Vendor & Carrier Relations:
- Negotiate rates and contracts with carriers to optimize transportation costs.
- Maintain positive relationships with logistics partners to ensure reliable service.

Problem Resolution:
- Identify and resolve issues related to delays, damaged goods, or discrepancies in shipments.
- Escalate complex issues and collaborate with relevant teams for resolution.

Compliance & Documentation:
- Ensure all shipments comply with local, national, and international regulations.
- Maintain accurate records and provide reports on logistics performance and costs.

Continuous Improvement:
- Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs.
- Other duties as requested by Supervisor
Requirements & Qualifications
- Must be 18 and available to work in this country with all applicable documents
- Good with numbers and basic data management (required)
- Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office Suite (required)
- Must be able to communicate in English (both written and oral) as it relates to the job
- Experience in logistics (preferred)
- Knowledge of import/export, drayage and SSL (Steamship Line) coordination (preferred)
- Spanish language skills are a plus (preferred)
