Position: Commercial Construction Estimator

Salary Range: $75,000 - $90,000 per year
About the Role
United Trades of America is seeking a highly skilled Estimator with expertise in commercial construction to join our growing team in North Shore, Louisiana. As an Estimator, you will play a critical role in the success of our projects, contributing your technical expertise to develop accurate estimates, budgets, and cost projections for projects ranging from $1M to $8M. Key Responsibilities
- Perform detailed takeoffs from commercial construction plans to create accurate cost estimates.
- Develop and manage budgets for design-build projects with minimal design input.
- Work closely with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing.
- Analyze project requirements to prepare bids and collaborate with leadership for approval prior to submission.
- Utilize Procore or similar estimating software to integrate budgets and forecasts for project managers.
- Transform handwritten or conceptual estimates into digital formats as needed.
What You Bring
- Experience: Demonstrated success as a Commercial Construction Estimator, with the ability to work independently and efficiently.

Technical Skills:
- Proficiency with construction estimating software (Procore experience is a major plus).
- Strong ability to perform detailed takeoffs and interpret construction plans.
- Ability to create accurate budgets for projects with limited design specifications.

- Exceptional attention to detail and critical thinking skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Self-motivated with excellent time management skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred but not required.
