We are seeking a Vice President, Supply Chain for our client, a fast-growing beauty and personal care organization. This leader will report directly to the CEO, and will oversee supply & demand planning, strategic sourcing, logistics, fulfillment, and overall operational excellence.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Supply Chain Strategy: Own, develop and lead the long range (3-5 year) supply chain strategy
- Planning – Supply and Demand: Drive best in class supply chain techniques to plan, procure and manage inventory from various contract manufacturers, distribution centers and component suppliers
- Strategic Sourcing: Direct the strategic sourcing Team and routinely partner to support innovation commercialization. Partner and build relationships with supply partners while continuing to professionalize the strategic sourcing process
- Cost Optimization: Lead and report on the 3-year cost optimization process and pipeline and ensure delivery of a robust set of cost savings initiatives across the supply chain
- Logistics and Distribution: Set the inbound and outbound logistics strategy as well as the overall supply chain network design; create strategic 3PL partnerships to support forecasted growth.
- Customer Fulfillment: Ensure unparalleled customer service is provided and that we are delivering on customer orders on time and in full.
- Cross-Functional Partnership: Communicate effectively with other department leaders, build strong relationships with stakeholders, and take a growth-oriented approach to improving processes.
- Team Development: Mentor and build a team that is capable of driving and supporting the company’s growth objectives.
Qualifications:
- 15 years of relevant experience in supply chain management and operations at high growth, small to mid-size consumer packaged goods (CPG) companies (food, beverage, beauty, personal care, household goods), with direct experience servicing major US mass, food and drug retail.
- Deep expertise in building and leading the supply chain, with specific depth and expertise in strategic sourcing, planning and logistics; ownership of end-to-end supply chain
- Previous experience working with ERP, Excel and BI systems
- Proven experience of building and leading teams including coaching and developing others, managing competing priorities, and instilling sound process where necessary to drive efficiency.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross functionally and build and maintain strong relationships with our business partners
- Comfortable in an ever-changing environment and willing to go beyond the status quo to deliver result
