This is a non-exempt position working 37.5 hours weekly/1950 hours annually.
The starting salary will be determined with consideration given to both the candidate's educational background and relevant work experience.
Must possess a valid driver’s license and have an acceptable driving record per County policy.
The essential functions listed below are those that represent the majority of the time spent working in this class. Management may assign additional functions related to the type of work of the class as necessary.
- Trouble shoot cases for Social Workers and Providers.
- POC for NC Fast Help Desk.
- Complete expenditure reports & transfer funds as needed.
- Manage Over/underpayments.
- Compose a monthly newsletter providing important information and instructions to providers improving agency communication and education about the state subsidy program.
- Organize and store payment records for auditing and monitoring purposes.
- Enter authorizations for transportation assistance in the tracking system.
- Review bills and authorize payment for contracted transportation and vendors such as Person Industries and the local domestic violence program.
- Back-Up for voicemails
- Mail out monthly newsletters between the 23rd and 25th of each month
- Develop and maintain a mailing list for all active WFES participants.
- Complete all state and internal reports associated with the Child Care payroll and copy for financial and management staff.
- Keep abreast of announcements on the state Child Care bulletin board and e-mail to staff as needed.
- Graduation from high school and demonstrated possession of knowledge, skills, and abilities gained through at least two years of office assistant/secretarial experience;
- or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
