Must possess a valid driver’s license and have an acceptable driving record per County policy.
Essential Functions
- Open gallery and put out “Open” sign at front sidewalk, check mail and distribute or discard junk mail, and turn on lights, adjust air conditioning or heat as appropriate.
- Check voicemail messages and respond appropriately, forwarding messages appropriate parties.
- Check email messages and respond to requests, forwarding messages appropriately and correctly. Record messages, phone numbers and the names of visitors.
- Aid in preparation of reports pertaining to art sales, shows/performance, and sales revenues and expenditure related to all Kirby Cultural Arts Complex business.
- Maintain files for all contracts and other administrative business.
- Maintains all aspects of social media and main stream media pertaining to the Kirby Cultural Arts Complex which includes: Facebook, Instagram, Etix, Person County Website, new articles/releases, Explore Roxboro, production of flyers, production of brochures, and etc.
- Administer each monthly Gallery Art Show, complete a contract and mail to the exhibitor for signature, filling in each of the appropriate dates for dropping off artwork, length of show, and pick up date for artwork.
- Administer rental processes and facility use of the Kirby Cultural Arts Complex by schools, local government agencies, private groups or nonprofit organizations, review the contract with responsible person and obtain deposits and payments.
- Conduct Daily accounting practice following the Person County Finance Department procedures accounting procedures.
- Gallery arts shows: assist in hanging and/or taking down the show and making labels for the artwork displayed, as well as receiving entries for the annual photography contest held each December.
- Greet visitors to the gallery and invite them to sign guest book when leaving in order to keep up with monthly visitors to the gallery.
- Aid in the preparation and implementation of shows, events, programs, and productions each season.
- Performs the operation of light, sound, and all other technical theater equipment as needed for shows, events, programs, and productions.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Completion of sufficient education to ensure the ability to read and write, and some experience in building cleaning work.
Special Certifications and Licenses
Must be 18 years or older and possess a valid driver's license.
