Position Overview

Our client, a leader in renewable and conventional power generation, is seeking a motivated and experienced Finance Manager to join their team in Buffalo Grove, IL. This onsite role will focus on managing day-to-day accounting functions for operational and related entities while ensuring compliance with financial reporting standards. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of GAAP, experience with Oracle NetSuite, and advanced Excel skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Compliance and Reporting:
• Review credit agreements, depositary agreements, and other project contracts to ensure compliance with covenants and reporting requirements.
• Organize monthly management meetings and liaise with international equity partners.
• Generate GAAP financial statements for client entities and maintain partners’ capital accounts in line with operating agreements.
• Financial Analysis and Budgeting:
• Prepare and present budgets and ad hoc accounting reports to senior management.
• Conduct variance and trend analysis with actual, budget, and historical results.
• Audits and Tax Preparation:
• Work closely with external auditors and tax advisors to prepare audited financial statements and tax returns.
• Treasury and Accounts Management:
• Monitor bank accounts with various financial institutions and perform all treasury functions for corporate and subsidiaries.
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and intercompany transfers.
• Process withdrawal certificates and ensure timely payment of invoices.
  

Required Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Experience: 5-10 years of accounting or finance experience.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and compliance reporting.
• Proficiency with Oracle NetSuite and Microsoft Office products, particularly advanced Excel (e.g., financial modeling).
• Ability to adhere to monthly, quarterly, and annual deadlines.
• Strong coordination and organizational skills, with a focus on timelines.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.

• CPA designation.
• Knowledge of IFRS.
• Familiarity with hedge accounting.
• Experience in the energy, construction, or real estate industries.
