Position Summary: The Operations Accounting Manager is a critical management position responsible for overseeing six FBO accountants, as well as managing the Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions. This role ensures the accuracy, efficiency, and effectiveness of operations accounting processes while driving process improvements and implementing technology solutions to support business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
· Leadership and Team Management:
o Supervise and mentor six FBO accountants based in various locations.
o Manage the AP and AR teams to ensure high performance and adherence to best practices.
o Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
· Operational Accounting:
o Oversee FBO accounting operations, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
o Review and analyze monthly financial reports for accuracy and consistency.
o Provide guidance on complex accounting issues related to FBO operations.
· Process Improvement:
o Identify inefficiencies in current processes and develop strategies for improvement.
o Streamline workflows to enhance accuracy and reduce processing times.
· Technology Implementation:
o Lead initiatives to implement or upgrade technology solutions that support AP, AR, and operational accounting functions.
o Ensure seamless integration of systems with existing processes.
· Cross-Functional Collaboration:
o Partner with internal stakeholders, including Finance, Operations, and IT, to align accounting functions with business goals.
o Act as a key liaison between the accounting team and other departments.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA designation preferred.
· 5 years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
· Strong knowledge of AP, AR, and general accounting principles.
· Proven experience driving process improvements and implementing technology solutions.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
· Proficiency in ERP systems and financial tools; experience with TFBO is a plus.
