Job Description:
The Clinical Manager at Personal Growth Counseling Servies is a vital leadership role responsible for overseeing and optimizing the delivery of mental health services. The Operating in compliance with Ohio state regulations, the Clinical Manager oversees clinical operations, supervises staff, and ensures adherence to industry standards and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clinical Supervision and Oversight:
- Provide leadership and clinical supervision to therapists, counselors, case managers, and other mental health professionals.
- Ensure treatment plans and interventions align with client needs and evidence-based practices.
- Monitor clinician performance and provide ongoing feedback and support.
- Regulatory Compliance and Quality Assurance:
- Ensure services meet Ohio state regulations, Medicaid standards, and agency policies.
- Conduct regular audits of clinical documentation to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with HIPAA and other relevant standards.
- Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives.
- Program Management and Development:
- Oversee the development and delivery of mental health programs tailored to the needs of the Ohio community.
- Evaluate program outcomes and make recommendations for improvement.
- Stay informed about Ohio mental health policies, funding opportunities, and community needs.
- Staff Development and Training:
- Work with HR to hire, train, and mentor clinical staff to promote professional growth and a positive team culture.
- Coordinate and provide ongoing training to ensure staff are knowledgeable about best practices, ethical standards, and Ohio-specific regulations.
- Address staff performance issues and foster a supportive work environment.
- Conduct QMHS training for all case managers.
- Client Care Coordination:
- Collaborate with clinicians, administrative staff, and external partners to ensure seamless care delivery for clients.
- Support the management of high-risk cases and crisis situations.
- Promote equitable access to mental health services for diverse populations in Ohio.
- Administrative and Leadership Duties:
- Participate in agency leadership meetings and contribute to strategic planning.
- Oversee client caseload distribution to maintain balanced workloads for staff.
- Liaise with community organizations, funders, and stakeholders to build partnerships and resources.
Qualifications:
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in social services field.
- Active and unrestricted Ohio licensure (e.g., LISW-S, LPCC-S)
- Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
- Must be certified within 90 days of hire on First Aid, CPR and De-escalation training.
- In-depth knowledge of Ohio Medicaid regulations and mental health service delivery requirements.
- Must maintain a current and valid Ohio or Michigan driver’s license, a good driving record, adequate insurance and be willing to use personal care to perform job duties.
- Strong skills in leadership, communication, and conflict resolution.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and data management systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in community mental health settings or with Ohio’s Behavioral Health Redesign initiative.
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care, crisis intervention, and evidence-based treatment models.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively across teams.
