osition Overview:
Talbot Health Services is seeking a dedicated Residential Case Manager to join our team. This position requires weekend shifts as part of the regular schedule. The Residential Case Manager will be responsible for designing and providing client services aligned with our mission and values, working with individuals facing mental health and substance use challenges to support treatment goals and ensure continuity of care.
This is a non-exempt role under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), and the successful candidate must be available for weekend shifts as part of the regular shift schedule. A CDCA (Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor) license is mandatory for this position.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Monitor and assess clients’ mental health, substance use, and physical symptoms; communicate changes to the treatment team to ensure appropriate interventions.
- Work with clients' families to identify needs and connect them with necessary resources.
- Coordinate community resources, including schools, probation officers, and outpatient providers, to ensure continuity of care.
- Facilitate client appointments for medical, mental health, and substance use needs.
- Maintain client documentation, including treatment plans, in a timely and accurate manner.
- Provide group and individual counseling as required by Ohio CDCA certification.
- Educate clients in developing basic living skills and maintain a supportive, therapeutic environment.
- Comply with all relevant state and federal regulations regarding client privacy and confidentiality.
- Participate in weekly supervision and other professional development opportunities.
- Support agency policies, adhere to best practices, and follow Residential Program Rules.
Required Qualifications:
- Ohio CDCA (Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor) license is mandatory.
- High school diploma.
- Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
- Availability for weekend shifts as part of the regular schedule.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Three years of relevant experience in mental health or substance use.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- CPR, First Aid, and AED training.
- Crisis Prevention/De-escalation training.
Skills & Attributes:
- Knowledge of mental health and substance use practices.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks.

Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds.
- Ability to work in facilities or community-based residences that may have multiple levels and limited mechanical support (e.g., no elevators).
- Prolonged periods of sitting and using a computer.
