What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT Support position at Personal IT Solutions?
We are looking for a customer service-oriented IT Support Technician to provide technical support to users in an efficient and accurate manner. This position is "Entry- Level" and offers on-the-job training.
Essential Job Functions & Duties:
- Create, change, disable, and delete user and email accounts.
- Use remote tools and diagnostic utilities to aid in resolving support requests.
- Perform hands-on fixes at the desktop level when remote tools are not appropriate, including hardware repairs, delivery of peripherals, or other fixes as determined.
- Support disaster recovery plans including daily onsite and offsite backups.
- Install antivirus software and ensure virus definitions are up to date.
- Perform preventative maintenance, including checking and cleaning of workstations, printers, and peripherals.
- Identify and escalate support situations requiring urgent attention.
- Track and route support requests via computerized ticketing system; thoroughly document resolutions.
Requirements:
- Excellent oral communication and organizational skills.
- Experience with desktop operating systems including Windows 7, Windows 10, Windows 11 and Mac OS.
- Experience with server operating systems is a plus.
- Active Directory knowledge a plus.
- Ability to understand, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Valid Driver License and ability to drive to customer locations when required.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Proven experience as a help desk technician or other customer support role.
- Microsoft A or other computer certifications highly desired.

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
