PTRC seeks a qualified professional to perform Level 1 Helpdesk support on a part-time basis.
IT Technician
We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused IT Support Specialist with strong troubleshooting and interpersonal skills. This role involves providing remote and on-site technical support, maintaining system documentation, and assisting with administrative IT tasks.
Position Requirements
Key Responsibilities :
- Remote Support : Proficiently use remote access software such as Windows Quick Assist, Splashtop, and NinjaOne to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
- Customer Service : Provide exceptional customer support by actively listening to end users, identifying problems, and researching solutions.
- Documentation : Accurately document issues and resolutions using NinjaOne and Microsoft OneNote. Escalate unresolved issues to the Technology Solutions Administrator as needed.
- On-Premises Work Required : This job requires you to maintain a presence in the office during working hours. Hours can also be used for pre-planned IT projects, which may occasionally occur on weekends and will be scheduled well in advance.
- Technical Support : Assist the Technology Solutions Administrator with Layer 1 low-voltage wiring and server maintenance during scheduled visits. Applicant must be able to trouble shoot common issues with the PTRC conference rooms.
- System Administration :
- Utilize NinjaOne and the Microsoft 365 Suite to perform administrative tasks (e.g., adding / removing users, managing permissions, and creating shared resources).
- Perform basic network administration tasks, such as managing Active Directory users and editing permissions.
- Ongoing Training : Stay updated with industry knowledge through provided online courses on ITPro.tv.
