Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individual with disabilities, including those with autism and behavior issues, in home settings and Your primary goal will be to enhance the quality of life for individual by promoting their independence and ensuring their rights are respected.
Duties
- Assist resident with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
- Implement individualized care plans tailored to each individual needs and preferences.
- Provide support in social activities and community engagement to foster social skills and relationships.
- Monitor and report any changes
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for individual adhering to all safety protocols.
- Uphold individual rights and dignity at all times while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Enforce individual independence
- Document daily activities and behavior issues progress notes accurately in compliance with organizational policies.
Requirements
- Experience working with individual on the autism spectrum behavior issues or those requiring preferred.
- Knowledge is a plus.
- Strong understanding of individual rights and the ability to advocate for them effectively.
- Ability to perform basic cooking tasks for meal preparation.
- Experience with Mental Health behavior issues
- Must have updated in classroom CPR, First Aid a Driver License and is able to transport individual out in the community safely as required by the role.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with individual, families, and team members.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 36 – 40 per week
