Coordinator for CDPAP (Bilingual- Creole / French)

Long Island City, Queens, NY

This is a full-time, in-person position based out of our Long Island City, Queens location.

The ideal candidate should have experience with the CDPAP program.

Job Summary :   As part of the CDPAP team, the  Coordinator  is responsible for the daily communication with consumers and personal assistants. Coordinators interact with consumer and Personal assistants on behalf of the organization. They provide information about services and respond to consumer concerns.

  • Bilingual in Creole / French / English preferred.
  • Key Responsibilities :

  • Ensures PA's are paid in a timely manner.
  • Conducts compliance and courtesy calls on an ongoing basis.
  • Follows up with notifications received from Caregiver Relations department.
  • Maintains and updates notes in HHAX.
  • Maintain and adjusts scheduling as needed by consumer.
  • Answer phones, and return calls within 24 hrs.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by direct supervisor.
  • Adheres to company policies and procedures.
  • Skills and Abilities :

  • Ability to handle a large volume of calls / In-person visits and prioritize follow up.

  • Ability to always maintain confidentiality and discretion.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to see a task through its completion.
  • Ability to learn new software.
  • Ability to travel between locations as needed.
  • Qualifications :

  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Sufficient education, high school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Knowledge of MS Office, MS Word, Excel, Power-Point and Outlook.
  • Experience and / or interest in issues related to Home Health Care / CDPAP.
  • Bi-Lingual Spanish / English, Russian / English, or Creole / English, Mandarin / English a plus.
  • Excellent written, oral and organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with Consumers and P.As.
  • Function independently with minimal supervision.
  • Able to relate to and work with various personality types, i.e. : the elderly, disabled and the ill.
  • Office experience.
  • Working Conditions :

  • Able to read 12 point type or larger.
  • Able to move intermittently throughout the work day inclusive of sitting, standing, bending, pushing, pulling or moving objects.
  • Able to speak in a manner understood by most people.
  • Pay : $23.00-$24.00 per hour
