Job Description :

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a highly organized and detail-oriented Litigation Legal Assistant. This hybrid role offers the flexibility of working from home one day a week while supporting the firm's attorneys in all phases of the litigation process, ensuring efficient and effective management of case files and related administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Assist attorneys with preparing and organizing legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and trial exhibits, to effectively support the firm's clients.
  • Maintain and manage case files, ensuring all documents are properly filed and easily accessible for the firm's clients.
  • Conduct legal research and gather relevant case information and evidence to bolster the firm's client cases.
  • Coordinate and schedule depositions, hearings, and meetings to facilitate smooth case management.
  • Communicate with clients, witnesses, court personnel, and opposing counsel to advance the firm's client interests.
  • Prepare and manage correspondence, memoranda, and other legal documents to ensure timely and accurate communication on behalf of the firm's clients.
  • Ensure compliance with court rules and procedures to protect the firm's clients' legal standing.
  • Assist with trial preparation, including organizing exhibits, preparing witness lists, and coordinating logistics to support successful outcomes for the firm's clients.
  • Perform administrative duties such as managing calendars, billing, and time entry to ensure smooth and efficient firm operations.

Qualifications :

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in legal studies or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a legal assistant, preferably in business litigation.
  • Strong knowledge of legal terminology, court procedures, and legal document formatting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research databases.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality to safeguard client information.
