- Responsibilities:
- Design and development of mechanical products including industrial equipment and machinery;
- Development of technical specifications for projects and equipment components;
- Coordination with cross-functional departments, including manufacturing, sales, and marketing;
- Creation of conceptual designs for prototypes and testing;
- Selection of mechanical components, including seals, bearings, motors, pumps, and other relevant parts;
- Code calculations and design reports;
- Fabrication and machining drawings and customer drawings;
- Equipment and piping layouts;
- General arrangement and assembly drawings;
- Installation, operation, and maintenance manuals;
- Finite element analyses when necessary (structural, thermal analyses) and documentation of findings through presentations or reports;
- Qualifications:
- BSME degree and at least three years of experience in industrial machine design and engineering;
- Experience with ASME Section VIII Division 1 Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code;
- Exposure to pressure and/or thermal stress analysis;
- Strong written, verbal, and graphical communication skills;
- Proficient in SolidWorks, Draft Sight/AutoCAD, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and GD&T principles;
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, including metal fabrication, machining, welding, and assembly;
- Demonstrated ability to optimize component or assembly designs for manufacturing, part count reduction, material savings, and manufacturability;
- Must be familiar with engineering processes, including change procedures, quality control, and approval processes, document control, and file management of CAD data;
- Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate with intent to pursue Professional Engineering (PE) License;
- Proficiency with engineering and manufacturing-related modules of ERP systems, including Part, Bill of Material, and Method of Manufacture creation and maintenance;
- Hrs. of work: Monday through Friday – first shift;
