As a Power and Automation Specialist, you will be responsible for providing an advanced level of expertise related to programmable logic controllers (PLC’s), DCS, instrumentation, and other electrical control systems. You will install and integrate these systems into existing and new operations, ensuring they function correctly and meet the required specifications. You will work closely with clients to understand their needs and develop automation solutions that enhance overall productivity. You will also provide on-site assistance during start-up and gather data for control system configurations and mentor technicians providing technical guidance and ensuring adherence to department standards.
Responsibilities
Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment, such as a computer and phone. Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Repetitive motion. Substantial motions of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. The person is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data, and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading. There is an occasional need for walking short distances. Work may be performed in company’s setting, home, or hybrid.

Responsibilities
- Develop & implement complete control system designs, including automation system architecture, control system installation specifications, and preliminary designs. Ensure designs are user-friendly, maintainable, and meet client expectations.
- Operate as a technical lead or team member on projects, producing estimates, coordinating with staff, and managing scope and design changes.
- Mentor specialists & technicians providing technical guidance and ensuring adherence to department standards.
- Provide on-site assistance during startup and gather data for control system configurations.
- Review and check vendor and fabrication drawings, create accurate installation documents, and develop work sharing packages.
- Consult with management leaders from other disciplines, advising on design or scope changes, and ensuring smooth project completion.
- 5 years of relevant work experience in industrial equipment, power distribution, and automation in a manufacturing environment are required.
- 2 Year / associate degree in Electromechanical, Electronics, Automation, or a related field or equivalent years of job experience is required.
- Light engineering, Project Management, and Troubleshooting skills is preferred.
- Good communication skills, quality, and safety-oriented team player, flexible, avid learner, ability to listen to others. A person who asks questions and is eager to learn the PSC way of operations. Someone who has an open mind when it comes to collaborating with the team on new ideas or improvements for the company.

Skills And Knowledge
- Standards and Protocols: Familiarity with ISA S88 programming standards, IEC 61131 programming languages, OSHA 1910.119, and equipment specifications.
- Systems Knowledge: Experience with DCS, PLC, HMI, SIS systems, and knowledge of at least one specific system from the provided list below.
