Job Description:
We are looking for a dedicated Part-Time Medication Assistant Treatment Provider to join our team. As a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in providing medication-assisted treatment to individuals seeking support for substance use disorders.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' medical history, substance use, and treatment needs.
- Prescribe and monitor medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to individuals with substance use disorders.
- Collaborate with the treatment team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Provide ongoing medical support and consultation to ensure the highest quality of care.
- Educate clients about MAT, its benefits, and the recovery process.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Stay current with advancements in the field of medication-assisted treatment through continuing education and professional development activities.
Qualifications:
- Valid and unrestricted license to practice as a Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) in the state of Florida.
- Experience in addiction medicine or medication-assisted treatment is highly desirable.
- Strong diagnostic and assessment skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary treatment team.
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems is a plus.
Schedule and Compensation:
This is a part-time position requiring a commitment of 2 days per week (Monday and Wednesday). The specific schedule will be determined based on the availability of the successful candidate.
