Role Description

Currently searching for two Front Desk Representatives for our Fort Lauderdale and Pembroke Pines locations.

The core purpose of this position is to provide outstanding customer service with a Can-do Attitude and Caring Heart, delivering a seamless and memorable experience with every interaction. The ability to build solid relationships with our customers [patients, referring physicians, referring physician office staff, and internal team members] is essential to our mission. Ensuring efficient and timely scheduling of patients; acquiring and recording all necessary relevant medical history; creating a pleasant experience for the patient while in our center, and by managing the timely delivery of results. 

Major Responsibilities

The major responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Greet patients and answer telephones promptly and caringly, forming a friendly, warm and helpful connection.  
• Schedule incoming requisitions efficiently, anticipating and solving problems before they occur.  
• Verify patients’ demographics and coordinate verification of patient insurance benefits.
• Promptly follow up with referring offices to obtain required medical records.
• Register and verify all patient information paying very close attention to all details. 
• Check-in and check-out all patients. 
• Maintain/Organize/scan patient charts.
• Promptly respond to and fulfill all PET/CT reports and image copy requests.
• Filing, copying and faxing. 
• Operate within the parameters of the Corporate Compliance & HIPAA Compliance Programs. 
• Other duties deemed to be appropriate and necessary by your direct supervisor. 

Job Requirements

• Must successfully pass drug and AHCA Level 2 background screenings 
• Must have flexibility to travel between all PIISF facilities and be willing to work at any one for extended periods at Management’s sole discretion 
• Excellent written & oral communication skills 
• Can-do attitude with a willingness to work in a team environment 
• Computer literacy, particularly with EMR programs and Microsoft Office programs 
• Reliability 
• Excellent organizational & time management skills 
• Knowledge of medical terminology a plus 
• Bilingual: Fluent in English & Spanish
