Pet Cremation Specialist & Driver

Job Summary

Pet Memories Cremation Service is based in Rockwall. We provide cremation and removal services for deceased pets in the Dallas metro area and eastern suburbs. Our company slogan is “Caring for your pet as a member of the family,” and we have done this by striving to provide professional service to every customer. As our business has grown, we have been fortunate to find people dedicated to our vision. It is time for us to add a new member to our team of pet care professionals to continue our growth and improve our services.

Job Duties

• Ensure documentation is accurate and complete before performing cremation
• Cremate to specification and within a specified timeframe
• Process ashes following cremation
• Establish, develop, and maintain business relationships with current veterinary clinics and customers
• Travel to clinics to make removal of remains or drop off cremated remains

Qualifications

Experience/Training/Certifications/Licenses:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Must maintain a valid Texas driver’s license and good driving record because a company-owned vehicle will be used

Skill/Ability:

• Strong work ethic with a willingness to be a team player.
• Must be able to listen, manage difficult or emotional customer situations, and respond promptly to customer needs. Requires the ability to listen and determine the individual needs of clients.
• Must be able to effectively communicate and present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
• Must have a pleasant personality and display a high level of professionalism.
• Must be very detailed and possess the ability to multi-task successfully.
• Must have basic typing skills (data entry) and the ability to utilize a computer, including Microsoft Office.
• Must adhere to a strict grooming and dress code.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear; stand; sit; walk; and drive all vehicles. In addition, the employee is frequently required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; push and pull; bend and carry; twist and turn. Employees must regularly lift and/or move up to 100 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions, including cold, dampness (rain/snow), humidity, and extreme temperatures (heat and cold). Work may be very stressful depending upon the requirements of work schedules and customers. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

The hours for this position will vary depending on the needs of the business but will include 40 hours each week. Some overtime will be required. Some weekend work will be required, too.

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
