Student Dog Groomer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Pet Groomer to join our team. As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for providing grooming services to a variety of animals, ensuring they are clean, comfortable, and well-groomed. Duties:

- Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and styling of pets

- Provide nail trims, ear cleaning, and teeth brushing as needed

- Assess the condition of pets' coats and skin, and recommend appropriate grooming techniques

- Handle animals with care and ensure their safety throughout the grooming process

- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grooming area and equipment

- Communicate with pet owners to understand their specific grooming requests and preferences

- Monitor pets for any signs of health issues or discomfort during the grooming process

- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and techniques in pet grooming

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in a related role is preferred

- Knowledge of animal care, handling, and restraint techniques

- Familiarity with different breeds of dogs and cats, including their specific grooming needs

- Understanding of basic dog training principles is a plus

- Excellent customer service skills to interact with pet owners in a professional manner

- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment

- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high grooming standards

Pay: $40,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 1 – 45 per week
