If you're excited about this position but you do not meet all the qualifications listed, we encourage you to apply and include a cover letter detailing why you would be a good fit for this role.JOB RESPONSIBILITIESThe Director of Distribution Operations is responsible for overseeing the secure, compliant, and efficient distribution of cannabis products from manufacturing facilities to retail partners and other authorized locations. This role manages warehouse teams, delivery drivers, and logistics personnel while ensuring strict adherence to state and federal cannabis regulations. The ideal candidate has experience in highly regulated industries, supply chain logistics, and operational leadership within cannabis or related fields.Develop and implement distribution strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.Oversee warehouse, inventory, and transportation operations to ensure seamless order fulfillment while adhering to full compliance with cannabis regulatory requirements.Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Sales, Brand Management) to align distribution efforts with business objectives.Implement best practices for storage, picking, packing, and shipping to maximize efficiency.Ensure compliance with warehouse management systems (WMS) and automation tools to track inventory movement.Maintain relationships with regulatory agencies, ensuring audits and reporting requirements are met.Ensure proper staffing, training, and scheduling to meet operational demands. Identify and implement opportunities to streamline distribution workflows and reduce operational costs.Monitor KPIs (order accuracy, delivery speed, inventory turnover) and drive corrective actions as needed.Introduce automation and process enhancements to improve productivity.Implement safety protocols to reduce workplace injuries and vehicle accidents.Ensure proper handling, storage, and transportation of goods, including hazardous materials, if applicable. REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's degree or experience equivalent.5 years of progressive experience in distribution, warehouse, or logistics operations, with leadership responsibilities.Experience optimizing distribution networks and driving operational efficiencies.Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume distribution environment.Cannabis industry experience is required.Acumatica experience is preferred or equivalent. Leaflink experience is preferred or equivalent.ERP experience required. Excel proficiency is required.
