The ideal candidate will possess excellent problem-solving skills, able to expeditiously diagnose patient problems. They will also have a passion for creating a high-quality standard of care, focusing on employee retention, patient well-being, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional patient care through physical examinations, diagnoses, and preventive care.
- Develop comprehensive treatment plans based on complete problem-based assessments.
- Perform routine and complex surgical procedures, including spays/neuters, abdominal exploratory, and mass removals.
- Communicate effectively with referral hospitals and clients.
Requirements:
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an AVMA-accredited veterinary school.
- Active licensure as a veterinarian without contingencies in the state where the hospital is located or ability to obtain by start date.
- Current DEA license.
- USDA Category I Accreditation or completion within two months of hire date.
Work Environment:
This role requires regular communication with clients, veterinary specialists, and companies providing products/services used by the practice. The majority of job duties take place in the Vetco Total Care veterinary full-service hospital, requiring bending, kneeling, lifting (up to 30 pounds), and standing for long periods.
