What are the responsibilities and job description for the Industrial Plant Maintenance Technician - Stationary Equipment (L1037) position at PETE LIEN & SONS, INC?
Provide daily mechanical maintenance support to the plant operations under the direction of the Maintenance Crew Supervisor.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure machines continue to run smoothly
• Inspect motors, drives, belts, check fluid levels, replace filters and perform other maintenance actions
• Clean or lubricate shafts, bearings, gears or other parts of machinery
• Repair or replace defective equipment using hand tools, power tools, torches, welders, hoists, cranes and other tools as necessary
• Inspect, operate, or test machinery or equipment to diagnose malfunctions. Check blueprints, repair manuals or parts catalogs as necessary to determine best repair method.
• Inspect failed parts to determine cause of failure
• Install, align and balance new equipment
• Ability to weld and fabricate steel components
• Ability to work at heights for extended periods of time, man lifts, scissor lifts, crane man baskets etc.
