What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Supervisor (L0860) position at PETE LIEN & SONS, INC?
This Quality Supervisor will be responsible for laboratory, operational, compliance, and sales support for product quality related duties within our calcium carbonate, calcium hydroxide, calcium oxide, gypsum, and aggregate production operations in Wyoming and Northern Colorado.
- Laboratory Support
- Promote, enforce, and participate in the company safety program
- Establish daily/weekly/monthly workplace routines that ensure all required work is properly completed by the laboratory staff
- Ensure laboratory SOPs reflect best testing practices
- Ensure laboratory equipment is properly maintained and calibrated
- Manage laboratory supplies and inventory
- Participate in laboratory testing to keep all testing being completed in a timely manner
- Operational Support
- Train operational personnel to complete routine quality control testing
- Manage special testing programs to support operational changes
- Lead root cause analysis investigations on significant quality related issues
- Compliance Support
- Maintain required annual material certifications
- Update technical datasheets annually
- Manage product compliance efforts such as FSSC 22000, NSF/ANSI 60, Kosher, Halal, ISO, etc.
- Provide technical support to environmental compliance when asked
- Sales Support
- Assist our marketing staff with new customer onboarding efforts
- Support customer complaint investigation process
- Product/Process Development Support:
- Support product optimization when needed for new markets, materials, and specifications
- Recommend capital projects for review
- Participate in new product development efforts/testing/research and associated meetings when requested
- Structure / Performance
- Report directly to the Executive Technical Director of Quality and Product Development
- Provide weekly summary report including but not limited to: ongoing tasks, future tasks, recommendations, schedule, etc.
- Travel and stay overnight when warranted (note: due to potential emergency type situations – unplanned occurrences could exist)
- Work station will be in Laramie, WY
