We are seeking an experienced, and proactive Accounting Specialist ? Payroll & AR, to oversee and manage the payroll processing weekly and the accounts receivable revenue cycle. This is a dynamic, cross-functional role that requires an experience in payroll processing, internal customer relations, and compliances.
In this role, you will manage the weekly payroll operations across multiple companies, ensuring all payrolls align with company policies, legal requirements, and best practices. You will also oversee accounts receivable billing and reporting, ensuring non-interruption of cash flow.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AR and Payroll processing. You will need to be detail-oriented, a strong communicator, and able to handle multiple priorities while ensuring the accurate and timely processing of both key functions, in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of payroll practices and prevailing wage practices relevant to NYS, and Certified Payroll experience is also a plus.
Key Responsibilities :
Payroll Specialist : 10-20 hours per week estimated once fully trained.
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring accurate and timely payroll distribution, Paylocity experience preferred but will train the right candidate.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations, specifically within New York State working directly with the Asst. Controller and CFO.
- Address payroll-related inquiries and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Utilize payroll software systems to process payroll efficiently.
Accounts Receivable Specialist : 10-15 hours per week once fully trained.
Other hours in your work week, as applicable, include : projects assigned by the assistant controller and CFO, and advancing both of the primary roles listed above in process efficiencies and developing internal controls under the direct guidance of the CFO.
