Job Purpose:
The Rental Sales Representative is responsible for maximizing daily rental activity, honoring our commitments by ensuring consistent and effective sales efforts. This position requires the majority of time to be spent handling sales functions, including telemarketing, cold calls, and customer visits, creating positive experiences through proactive and engaging customer interactions. By continuously improving their sales techniques and staying informed about industry trends, the Rental Sales Representative fosters lifelong learning. Exhibiting a pioneering spirit, they seek innovative approaches to increase rental activity and customer satisfaction. Demonstrating good stewardship, they manage resources responsibly to achieve optimal sales performance and contribute to the overall success of the organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Honor Commitments:
- Responsible for achieving utilization objectives for the fleet, ensuring reliable and consistent performance.
- Coordinate rental contracts, certificates of insurance, and credit approvals related directly to the sale, maintaining accuracy and compliance with all agreements.
Create Positive Experiences:
- Identify potential customers, build and maintain relationships with the local customer base through customer visits, direct mail, telemarketing, and cold calls, ensuring engaging and positive interactions.
- Assist in the resolution of customer disputes and problem resolution, providing excellent customer service and fostering satisfaction.
Foster Lifelong Learning:
- Work with sales and leasing staff to coordinate product demos, continuously improving knowledge and skills related to products and services.
- Identify competitive strengths and weaknesses within the market and recommend solutions to improve, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and strategic thinking.
Exhibit a Pioneering Spirit:
- Make customer calls with service/parts/sales staff to increase JX overall market penetration, demonstrating innovative approaches to expanding market reach.
- Support lease customers with interim and extra units, showcasing flexibility and innovation in meeting customer needs.

- Perform additional duties as needed, maintaining a commitment to excellence and a proactive approach in all tasks to support the overall success of the team and company.
- Manage resources responsibly to optimize fleet utilization and support the organization's goals. Other Duties as Assigned:

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor (preferred) or Associate's degree in marketing, business or related field.
- Previous experience in sales or the transportation industry.
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing, over the phone, and in person.
- Comfortable soliciting new business and meeting new people.
- Disciplined, with good organizational and time management skills.
- Able to work with minimal supervision.
- Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office preferred.
- Valid driver's license required, Commercial driver's license CDL preferred with the ability and willingness to obtain a CDL.
- Dependable and reliable attendance required.
