Job Purpose:
The Truck Sales Executive will use their innate sales ability, combined with the technical knowledge that they will be trained on, to provide unique solutions to our customer's transportation needs, partnering with them for the long haul. The Sales Executive is dedicated to honoring commitments by providing quotes to our customers in a timely manner, creating positive experiences for our customers, employees, and stakeholders, fostering lifelong learning through continuous education, exhibiting a pioneering spirit by implementing innovative solutions, and demonstrating good stewardship by managing resources effectively. They are also accountable for developing existing customers and generating new accounts, increasing truck sales, all while maintaining a high level of customer service to build JX's reputation as the industry leader in heavy and medium duty truck sales.
CDL required, or willingness and ability to obtain
Earning potential: $85,000 - $125,000/year (Unlimited Commission Program and Volume Bonuses; initial base salary is between $40k - $50k/year, based on experience)
Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Honor Commitments:
- Conducting a minimum number of sales cold calls a week to honor our commitment to expanding our customer base.
- Ensuring prompt and reliable delivery of existing orders for customers, upholding our commitment to honor customer commitments.
Create Positive Experiences:
- Selling, promoting, and providing exceptional customer service to customers to ensure a positive experience with the sales process.
- Following up on orders to guarantee that customers are served promptly and effectively, always seeking to create positive experiences.
- Collaborating with our internal finance companies to assist in obtaining customer financing to ensure each customer has a positive experience with the pre-approval process.
Foster Lifelong Learning:
- Regularly servicing existing accounts and engaging in open communication with customers to foster lifelong learning about their needs.
- Maintaining current knowledge of truck specifications, actively participating in product, market, and sales training, being enthusiastic about lifelong learning of upcoming trends and information regarding our industry.
- Discussing the features and benefits of various components and specifications of class 5 - class 8 trucks with customers, demonstrating a deep understanding of our products.
Exhibit Pioneering Spirit:
- Building and maintaining a strong pipeline of sales opportunities, displaying a pioneering spirit in growing new and existing business.
- Contacting prospective customers and assigned accounts utilizing various methods; making calls, visiting a business, social media, texting or email.
- Self-generating prospective customers/business opportunities with new and existing customers.
Demonstrate Good Stewardship:
- Developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive account-specific growth strategies, displaying a pioneering spirit in growing existing business.
- Utilizing our robust CRM system to document and maximize results.
- Maintaining meticulous documentation in reports, quoting, and other internal communication channels to exhibit good stewardship of information.
- Being accountable for the used inventory lot appearance at their domiciled location to drive continuity and demonstrating good stewardship of the JX Used Truck Standard.
- Satisfying their customer's individual and business needs through solution-based selling of not only equipment but also direction towards the organization's other offerings including maintenance services, repair services, leasing, rental and financing.

Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent. Associates or Bachelor degree preferred
- Successful truck sales experience
- Ability to hold technical conversations with independent owner/operators, business owners, transportation managers and municipality officials.
- Intermediate experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Gmail preferred
- Mechanical understanding enough to learn specifications of complex, customizable equipment.
- Valid driver's license required
- CDL required, or willingness and ability to obtain.
