Job Title: Outside Parts Sales Representative

Position Overview: We are currently seeking a motivated and dynamic individual to join our team as an Outside Parts Sales Representative. The successful candidate will play a vital role in driving sales growth and fostering strong customer relationships by providing expert guidance and support in the selection and purchase of commercial truck parts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with customers by understanding their needs and proactively addressing inquiries, concerns, and requirements.
  • Sales Generation: Identify and pursue new sales opportunities within assigned territories, including prospecting potential clients, conducting cold calls, and following up on leads to achieve sales targets.
  • Product Expertise: Demonstrate a deep understanding of our product offerings, including Peterbilt truck parts and accessories, to effectively advise customers on the most suitable solutions for their specific requirements.
  • Consultative Selling: Utilize a consultative approach to sales by actively listening to customer needs, providing personalized product recommendations, and offering solutions that add value and address pain points.
  • Order Processing: Efficiently process customer orders, ensuring accuracy in product selection, pricing, and delivery specifications, while adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Market Analysis: Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify opportunities for product differentiation and competitive positioning.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including Parts Managers, Service Technicians, and Administrative staff, to coordinate sales efforts, streamline processes, and deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and inventory levels using CRM software or other designated tools, and provide regular reports to management on sales performance and market insights.

Qualifications:

  • Proven track record of success in outside sales, preferably within the automotive, trucking, or industrial parts industry.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and build rapport with diverse clientele.
  • Excellent negotiation and persuasion abilities, with a focus on delivering value-driven solutions to customers.
  • Knowledge of commercial truck parts, including familiarity with Peterbilt products, is highly desirable.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and goal achievement.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.

Location: This position is based in Southern Louisiana or Mississippi, with frequent travel within the assigned territory and occasional visits to company branches for meetings and training sessions.

Pay: $35,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
