Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Office Administrator to join our team.
Peters Machine is a family-friendly small business that provides machining services to pressure vessel manufacturers. This Office Administrator reports to the President and provides administration support across all functional areas of the business. Most customer interfacing is via phone or email with minimal face to face customer interaction. Casual work environment.
Duties
- Learn, maintain & assist in improving business systems.
- Log customer requests for quotations.
- Create job packages & record job progress information.
- Enter expenses, organize purchase order & receipts, print checks.
- Communicate with customers via phone & email.
- Assist with HR functions.
- Track receipt of material & customer information.
- Set-up shipping.
Experience
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Excel & Word & Google equivalent applications.
- Understand basic accounting principles
- Experience using computer Accounting software (Quickbooks)
- Good basic math skills
- Experience in small business environment a plus
