Industrial Maintenance Technician

Job Summary
Peterson Cartridge is seeking an additional Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our team in a fast-paced, state of the art manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and experience in industrial maintenance. This role is essential for ensuring the smooth operation of our proprietary production lines, contributing to the overall efficiency of our production processes. The hours for this position are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Mon-Fri with the potential to come into work during off shift hours to address emergency mechanical problems.

Job Responsibilities:

• Installs, repairs, and maintains machinery and mechanical/pneumatic/electrical equipment.
• Familiar with / able to operate manual mills and/or lathes to fabricate and/or modify parts.
• Maintains inventories of maintenance parts and supplies by checking stock and placing requisitions.
• Trains Machine operators on routine preventive maintenance.
• Maintain buildings / facilities.
• Schedule Maintenance for Air Compressors, HVAC Systems, fork trucks, and other company equipment.
• Maintain and/or implement 5S in the maintenance area, machine shop, and wood shop.
• Respond to infrequent off-shift call-ins for maintenance emergencies.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Ability to operate machinery and technical equipment
• In-depth knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical equipment with excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lift and move heavy equipment of 100lbs, infrequently, as needed.
• Skilled in analyzing mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical drawings/schematics.
• Skilled with mechanical and electrical tools
• Familiar with troubleshooting or installing electrical power circuits up to 480VAC as well as control circuits 5-24VDC and 120 VAC.
• Fabrication skills including welding, cutting, grinding, forming, etc.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to communicate with vendors.
• Strong time-management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Works well in a team setting, as well as independently.

All tools will be provided at the company's expense.

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
