Opportunity Summary :
Join our PetMeds / PetCareRX (“PETS”) team as the Manager of Pricing, Promotions & Seasonal Planning , and be a driving force in our digital retail success. This position is
crucial in driving our overall merchandising strategic initiatives. You will lead the
development and execution of customer and seasonal insights that align with our
business goals, enhance our brand presence, and engage our target audience. You will
also lead the daily pricing strategy to create competitive and relevant offerings.
Key Responsibilities :
Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and
competitive landscape insights.
Leverage cultural and competitive category insights to drive authentic, innovative
ideas that benefit our customers.
Strategize, develop, and execute comprehensive category and product bundling
initiatives, as well as relevant promotional activity
Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in
marketing.
Provide insights and industry trend reporting to the broader organization to
support product / merchandising in product assortment, pricing, and promotional
decisions.
Become the expert in our competitive set in order to find and uniquely define the
reasons to believe that can be owned by PETS
Assists in determining our pricing and promotional strategies
Implements pricing and promotion strategies and run tests in the ecommerce
platform
Create and manage reporting on the impact of pricing and promotion strategies
and provide insights
Assists in determining sell-through strategy
Ensure all promotions are data-driven, customer-centric, and designed to
achieve specific KPIs and business goals.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including creative (brand & content),
channel marketing, product / merchandising, and e-commerce, to ensure
seamless execution and alignment of all site activity.
Lead in collaborating with merchandising teams and identifying the
category / product offers for each campaign, both seasonal, promotional and
evergreen.
Track and report on budget performance, making adjustments as necessary to
stay within financial parameters and achieve strategic goals.
Provide regular reports and insights to senior leadership, highlighting successes,
challenges, and opportunities for improvement
Qualifications :
Education & Experience :
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field;
- Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in strategy and planning, with a proven track
- record in the retail or e-commerce sector.
- Deep understanding of the pet industry, including trends, consumer behavior,
- and competitive landscape.
- Experience in Health & Wellness, Financial Services, or related fields is a plus.
