Petoskey Plastics is seeking a Quality Manager to drive the implementation and operation of the quality system in the plant to ensure company and customer requirements are met on a daily basis. This will be accomplished through assisting the quality technicians to ensure quality system and product compliance and through effective communication with plant personnel and management on matters related to the quality system.
Responsibilities:
- Work safely adhering to established safety procedures
- Maintain excellent standards for housekeeping
- Implement and maintain Quality Management System policies and procedures
- Monitor, chart, and analyze quality measurables for the plant
- Participate in daily production review meetings
- Assist all departments of the plant to monitor and evaluate the quality of products
- Take lead on communicating product on hold amounts, in pounds, and other pertinent details
- Auditing
- Manage quality lab and testing equipment
- Lead and implement requirements for 3rd party audits of GMP or other quality system registrations
- Investigate customer concerns and issue findings
- Resolve customer issues in a timely fashion
- Lead corrective actions for continuous improvement
- Track and maintain customer concern database
- Cover shifts for QA techs during absences
- Train new hires in the requirements of the quality system
- Conduct follow up activities to ensure training effectiveness
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Two-year degree in manufacturing technology, material science, or 5 years of quality experience (manufacturing setting preferred)
