JOB TITLE: HSE ADVISOR
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Knowledge of SEMS, BSEE and USCG offshore operating requirements.
- Ability to lead incident investigations for injuries, and/or occupational diseases to determine causes and corrective/preventative measures.
- Develop and manage effective corrective action plans in conjunction with operational groups as a result of incident investigations, internal audits, client audits, and identified gaps from BBS/observation programs.
- Promote continual improvement and standardization of existing HSE programs by maintaining and applying knowledge of current policies, regulations, and industrial processes.
- Ability to develop and/or maintain a robust HSE management program while working closely with other support groups including Operations and Project support groups.
- Provide HSE expertise and support to operational groups by participating in client meetings, Haz IDs, developing HSE Project Plans, bridging documents, and joint incident investigations.
- Compile, analyze, and interpret statistical data related to the companies leading and lagging indicators.
- Work with the HSE Manager by conducting and/or coordinating employee HSE training in areas such as safety laws and regulations, environmental programs, hazardous condition monitoring, and use of safety equipment.
- Other duties as directed by HSE Manager.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Health Safety & Environment, Certified Safety Professional or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum years of HSE experience.
- Minimum years of offshore HSE experience or experience working with offshore client and regulatory requirements.
- Experience with HSE software programs.
- Professional certifications (ASP, CSP, SMS, COSHO, OHST, CIH, NEBOSH).
- Efficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Self-motivated, critical thinker who can solve problems.
