What are the responsibilities and job description for the Staff Accountant, Billing position at Petroleum Marketing Group?
The Staff Accountant (Billing) is responsible for collection of driver, customer and terminal paperwork. This position works to generate and transmit billing invoices and documents to the customer in a timely manner as well as work with internal and external customers on any questions they may have. The Staff Accountant is also responsible for ensuring compliance with internal control policies and procedures in an efficient, timely and accurate manner.
Job Duties
· Ensure all loads are billed out in a timely manner. Report any problems uncovered in the process as related to loading or delivery errors.
· Distribute paperwork to customers via email, direct uploading, fax or mailing.
· Ensure proper use of resources whether internal or external.
· Assist with incident investigation of delivery issues as reported by customers.
· Develop relationships with customers in all areas, be proactive to help them.
· Work with Supply interruptions to provide information necessary for customers to be able to recover any additional costs incurred.
· Compile & enter fuel receipts from drivers and track miles driven.
· Participate in training to improve the knowledge on the accounting software or any industry/accounting specific topics.
· Maintains historical records by filing documents.
· Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.

Salary/Income: $45,000 - $55,000 Annually
Requirements:· Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounts receivable principles
· High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
· Ability to multi-task
· Excellent data entry skills
· Effective verbal, listening and written communication skills
· Demonstrates a sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines
· Ability to work independently and/or as a team member
Computer Skills
· Proficiency in Excel and Word
· Able to use PMG software tools/database
Qualifications
Diploma or certificate in accounting is preferable. 1 years billing or accounting experience is required. Knowledge of the petroleum industry desired.
