JOB SUMMARY
The Wholesale Fuels Sales Representative key role will be to learn all the facets of branded and unbranded fuel sales and account management to achieve their sales goals, continued customer service, profitability and new business/territory development. The WFSR will perform daily duties including pricing, billing, customer service, account management, new business development and operations.
The Wholesale Fuel Sales Representative’s overall focus will be to:
Essential Functions
- Be coached and trained to have a working knowledge of all facets of the PMG unbranded fuel supply processes and procedures including pricing, billing, customer service, and account management
- Assist to maintain existing business with wholesale fuel customers and current book of business as well as develop new business relationships with target customers to grow the business by bringing on new wholesale supplied sites/locations.
- Daily duties to include but are not limited to administrative functions, nighty pricing, billing, credit, and logistics.
- Identify opportunities through prospecting, customer relationship and account management, and other external websites and resources to assist in growing the business within existing customer base and new customers. Generation of new leads through various prospecting activities, including cold calling, canvassing, customer referrals, and business partnerships
- Position will be responsible for aggressive prospecting and soliciting of new branded fuel supply and unbranded fuel supply business development in the retail gas station market throughout New England.
- Maintain strong sales funnel focused on new business customers and establish relationships with prospective customers through the use of various prospecting techniques
- Develop and maintain practical knowledge and complete understanding of all aspects of PMG’s branded fuel supply partner’s marketing programs
- Staying current in brands, industry news, trends, and competition
- Achieve the sales objectives established by the New Business Development Director
- Attend trade shows and association meetings as needed
- Maintain good business by creating and promoting a strong and lasting relationship with customers
JOB REQUIREMENTS AND PREREQUISITES
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, the WFSR must be able to perform each of the above tasks satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability that is preferred in this role. Comparable requirements with a strong will to learn and be trained will also be highly considered.
- 3 years of work experience with a fuel distributor (Jobber) or oil/fuel company preferred but not required. Willing to train the right person!
- 3 years of sales experience with a focus on new business development and account management. Sales experience within the fuel supply industry preferred but not required.
- Knowledge and experience in customer management / relations.
- Knowledge of convenience store/gas station operations.
- Bachelor's Degree or 3 years associated experience in the fuel supply (Jobber network), fuel distribution to independent dealer industry.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
- Knowledge of MS Office and other business applications.
- Able to travel to each location throughout the week as needed in the New England area.
- Good analytical and oral/written communication skills are required.

Hours:
The Wholesale Fuel Sales Manager is a full time position and works a minimum of 40 hours per week. Position will require very flexible hours including evenings and early mornings.
Salary/Income:
The Wholesale Fuel Sales Manager is an exempt, salaried position with monthly commission
