We are searching for a Production β Instrumentation & Controls Engineer to join our clients Integrated Production Excellence Team in Cameron, LA. This role requires occasional travel to support LNG sites
What You'll Do
Lead Metering & Measurement System Management
- Develop, implement, and maintain a state-of-the-art Metering and Measurements Management System for the Calcasieu Pass LNG facility.
- Ensure all meters and measurement systems operate within required design parameters and uncertainty levels.
- Oversee the full lifecycle of metering systems, ensuring:
- Regular calibration and inspection.
- Functionality within design specifications.
- Proper certification and calibration documentation.
- Maintain metering compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Optimize system reliability to support real-time surveillance and production efficiency.
- Develop communication processes for reporting mismeasurements and system updates.
Drive Data Analysis & Reporting
- Analyze and interpret metering data to detect discrepancies or anomalies.
- Generate performance reports and track uncertainties.
- Work with pipeline teams using Flow Cal software to assess gains and losses.
Optimize Processes for Maximum Efficiency
- Partner with Engineering, Operations, and Maintenance teams to enhance metering performance and optimize LNG production.
- Implement system improvements via Management of Change (MoC) processes.
Manage Vendors & Assets for Peak Performance
- Oversee procurement, maintenance, and repair of metering equipment.
- Evaluate vendor performance and negotiate contracts.
- Ensure availability of spare parts and supplier agreements for system reliability.
Ensure Compliance & Documentation Excellence
- Maintain precise records of metering systems, calibrations, maintenance logs, and operational procedures.
- Keep all documentation audit-ready and accessible.
What You Bring
- Bachelorβs Degree in Instrumentation & Control, Process, Chemical, or Electromechanical Engineering.
- 5 to 10 years of experience in instrumentation, measurements, and metering.
- Proven expertise in Metering and Measurements Management Systems.
- Oil & Gas experience required; LNG experience preferred (petrochemical, NGL, cryogenic gas processing, or other hydrocarbon processing may be considered).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to manage stakeholders effectively.
