What We Need
We are looking for a part-time (Human Resources) HR Generalist to join our team of about 80 employees. This will be a new position for the company and we would like for them to take on HR responsibilities that are currently being handled by other team members while helping to develop new, ongoing responsibilities. We would like for the HR Generalist to share a passion for pets. Some of the responsibilities we plan for this role include:
Responsibilities
- Manage and refine the recruiting, onboarding, & offboarding processes
- Screen and interview applicants to recommend to department managers
- Conduct new employee orientation and appropriate training with aid of appropriate managers
- Manage digital recordkeeping of employee documentation
- Administer various employee benefits programs
- Review, recommend, and aid in implementation of policy and procedure updates in compliance with federal and state employment regulations
- Manage liability insurance claims
- Audit employee timekeeping records
- Submit work related injury documentation to Worker’s Compensation carrier
- Coordinate events, meals, meetings, and more with the goal of improving employee relations and company culture
- Coordinate ongoing training & education of existing team members with aid of department managers
- Address breaches of company policies & procedures through counseling of team members with aid of appropriate managers
- Aid in intercompany conflict resolution with aid of appropriate managers
- Manage employee complaints and suggest changes to department managers
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
