The ideal candidate will assist with month end closing including preparing journal entries and general ledger account reconciliations. The duties also include assisting with various tasks within the accounting department.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the general ledger by processing all company invoices, and payments
- Review and verify accuracy of financial and contract paperwork and processes
- Summarize and prepare financial records and statements for external reporting
- Process month end and quarter end closing activities
- Prepare journal entries and reconciliations
- Maintain general ledger accounts and monitor for accruals, variances and discrepancies
- Maintain and record inventory counts and review for discrepancies
- Prepare, manage and track AFE's
- Record, retire and monitor all fixed asset changes
- Run bank reports for deposits and review before providing to Accounts Receivable
- Resolve ACH Payments
- Review accounts receivable deposits before they are posted
- Process all accounts payable payments for vendors
- Provide supporting documents for internal/external audits
- Perform various other duties consistent with accounting functions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- minimum 2 years accounting experience to include maintaining general ledgers, preparing journal entries and preparing reconciliations on a monthly basis
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
- Strong Microsoft excel skills
- Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks at any given time
- Must have strong written and oral communication skills
- Microsoft Dynamics GP, TMT, and TMW experience is a plus
