What are the responsibilities and job description for the Doggie Daycare Assistant Manager position at Pets a Go Go LLC?
An assistant manager at Pets a Go Go is responsible for overseeing the care and handling of playgroups, training staff and caring for the dogs in the facility. We operate 365 days a year so assistant managers are expected to work at least one day per weekend and rotational holidays, in all types of weather. Approximately 50 percent of your time will be answering the phone, data entry, handling customer concerns, talking with customers, building the customer relationship and dealing with employee issues and training, 35 percent will be handling dogs and the remaining 15 percent will be cleaning/organizing.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Assisting in the hiring process and managing personnel, scheduling, assisting senior management in training of new hires.
- Work regularly scheduled shifts with the capacity to cover any position, including, but not limited to, the physical care of the dogs.
- Work with senior management in coordinating the development and implementation of both short and long-term marketing strategies to enhance existing business, increase market awareness, support the image and branding strategy and build brand loyalty.
- Ensure that customer satisfaction is consistently obtained including our mission to provide excellent care and enrichment to all dogs in our care daily.
- Ensure the efficient and effective operation of the daycare.
- Help maintain the highest company standards in the delivery of all services.
- Support senior management to maintain effective two-way communication systems, which cross departmental lines and reach all employees. Support and enforce established company policies and procedures.
- Lead by example. Caring for and supervising playgroups of dogs according to the latest science-based dog behavior and training knowledge received during training.
- This job will include playing with dogs, working on group play skills to increase safety, engaging in enrichment activities, brushing petting, crating, leashing, collaring, clothing (when jackets are needed), applying first aid, feeding, medicating, etc.
- Cleaning duties such as cleaning up dog waste, sweeping, mopping, dusting, disinfecting, shoveling, cleaning crates and bathing dogs.
- Help maintain compliance with local, state and federal laws and regulations.
- Help in the training of new employees in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Coordinate inventory levels for internal use and retail area. Utilize Gingr for all applicable transactions.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
