Doggie Daycare Attendant
Overnight Concierge
We are currently hiring at both of our locations in Stamford, CT and Briarcliff Manor, NY; however, this advertisement is for those interested in and able to commute easily to the Stamford location.

A Day In The Life at Pets a Go Go
You come to work daily with a smile on your face and excited to help serve our pet parents and their furry friends. You'll be outfitted in our branded gear and help run our daycare and boarding operation by greeting everyone as they come in. As a member of The Paw Squad you are responsible for ensuring the health, safety and comfort of the dogs in our care. Prior experience with dogs is necessary (paid working experience is not required for all positions) but you must genuinely love dogs, be comfortable with all breeds and sizes of dogs, be capable of consistently following all handling and safety protocols, possess a great deal of focus and attention to detail and be physical fit enough to lift dogs 60 lbs, kneel and stand for long periods of times.

Responsibilities (dependent on Role)
1. Supervision and Interaction
- Vigilantly monitor dog play times to ensure a secure and friendly environment.
- Skillfully intervene in conflicts, mediate disputes and separate dogs as needed.
- Engage dogs in stimulating games and activities.
- Advocate and practice positive reinforcement celebrating good behaviors.
2. Safety & Health Maintenance
- Administer first aid when required and ensure immediate care in emergencies.
- Keenly observe dogs for any signs of illness or distress.
- Responsibly manage medication schedules, ensuring timeliness and accuracy.
- Uphold stringent cleanliness standards in all areas and equipment.
3. Feeding & Hydration
- Adhere to individual feeding schedules and diets for each dog.
- Monitor dietary intake, noting and reporting any anomalies.
- Consistently ensure access to fresh and clean water.
4. Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain detailed daily logs capturing a range of behaviors and activities.
- Foster open communication with management, ensuring prompt reporting of concerns or incidents.
5. Training & Behavior Management
- Practice and reinforce basic commands
- Employ positive techniques to address and modify undesirable behaviors.
- Evaluate and/or help to safely integrate new dogs into the facility environment.
6. Facility Maintenance
- Maintain an immaculate facility environment, ensuring safety and comfort for dogs and staff alike.
- Regularly inspect all facility equipment, ensuring functionality and safety.
7. Continued Education and Professional Development
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in dog care, behavior and health.
- Actively participate in relevant workshops and training programs.
8. Customer Service
- Greet and engage dog owners with warmth and professionalism.
- Address and resolve any questions or concerns, ensuring peace of mind and confidence in our services.
What We're Looking For
- Passion: A genuine love for dogs and a commitment to their well being.
- Experience: Previous experience in dog handling in a rescue/shelter or for-profit pet care company is strongly preferred.
- Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written skills for reporting and customer interactions.
- Learning Mindset: An eagerness to continue learning and growing in the field.
Available Shifts and Compensation: We staff 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Compensation varies greatly in role and experience between $16.35 and $20.35 per hour.
