A Connecticut-based advisory firm is seeking a Staff / Senior Accountant to join their team.
Responsibilities :
The Staff / Senior Accountant will :
Prepare calculations, support and journal entries for regular transactions, complex allocations, intercompany activity and various accruals
Perform account review and analysis
Maintain books and records for foreign subsidiaries and be the point for contact with local administrators
Prepare wires and analyze bank fees
Complete daily and monthly bank reconciliations
Manage the internal invoice / contract tracking system to ensure proper approvals, timely payments and complete data
Work with the department and programmers to continue to build new system processes needed to improve department tasks and increase efficiencies
Maintain a full understanding of all required allocations and account coding
Assist all departments in both financial and internal audit work
Gather data and prepare 1099s for all entities and funds Qualifications :
1 year of related work experience
Bachelor's Degree
Functional knowledge of General Ledger systems and Excel
Strong organizational skills
Strong attention to detail
Strong follow-through and follow-up skills
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to work independently as well as with a team
Ability to manage multiple tasks Desired Skills :
Accounting Degree
