Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. This role is essential in supporting our financial operations and providing valuable insights through financial reporting. The Bookkeeper’s responsibility is to accurately record all day-to-day financial transactions of our company.
This is a part-time role, on site targeted at 20 – 25 hours a week, Monday – Friday. Hours can be flexible.
Duties
- Record day to day financial transactions and complete the posting process
- Verify that transactions are recorded in the correct class, customer ledger and general ledger
- Perform partial checks of the posting process
- Complete tax forms
- Enter data, maintain records and create reports and financial statements
- Process accounts receivable/payable and handle payroll in a timely manner
- Execute bank reconciliation to verify the accuracy of bank statements against company records
- Record journal entries to reflect all business transactions accurately.
- Assist in maintaining organized financial documents and records for easy access and review
Experience
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role is required
- Proficiency in using financial software such as QuickBooks Online
- Knowledge of corporate accounting practices and principles
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are necessary for success in this role.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and management.
