Great Lakes Equine Wellness Center is looking for full time receptionist to join our growing, fast-paced clinic. We are a seven doctor, full service equine practice that strives to provide the highest quality ambulatory services combined with unparalleled hospital care.
We rely on the competency of our staff and the manner in which he/she interacts with patients and clients. We are looking for someone who is kind, compassionate, and self-motivated who can provide excellent performance of all tasks necessary to support the doctors and to provide client/patient services with all the necessary tools for the smooth flow of operation and effective utilization of Great Lakes Equine.

Essential Functions:
- Provides excellent customer service in-person, over the phone, and during high-stress situations.
- Manages lobby flow, addresses concerns, calms distressed owners, and schedules appointments.
- Handles basic medical emergencies for horses and owners, ensuring safety and well-being.
- Assists with medication pickups, inquiries, and provides information about services and products.
- Inputs and manages data in practice management software, including billing and accounts.
- Assists with retail sales, processing faxes and emails, and maintaining records.
- Reconciles cash drawer and performs end-of-day duties for accurate financial transactions.
- High school diploma or GED required, or equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and/or experience
- Knowledge of clerical procedures and ability to organize files and records
- Excellent customer service skills, providing courteous and prompt assistance
- Accurate cash handling and cashiering abilities
- Strong multitasking skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work at a keyboard or workstation for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, climbing, and lifting up to 50 pounds
- Equine experience preferred
- Monday - Friday (8 am - 5 pm)
- Day shift
