About the Role
As a Veterinary Technician at our bustling practice, you'll play a vital role in ensuring exceptional care for our patients and top-notch service for their owners. Your expertise will support hospital operations through responsibilities like patient care, assisting during surgeries, performing diagnostics, maintaining records, and more.
What You'll Do
- Conduct patient exams, gather medical histories, and assist with diagnostics like lab tests and imaging.
- Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments, including wound care and bandaging.
- Prepare and monitor pets during surgeries, dental cleanings, and anesthesia.
- Perform nursing care, including feeding, cleaning, and observing patients for health changes.
- ️ Educate and communicate with pet owners regarding their pet's care and treatment plans.
- ️ Maintain and troubleshoot medical equipment and supplies.
- Uphold cleanliness, safety, and compliance in all hospital areas.
- Accurately document medical records and assist with inventory management.
✨ What We're Looking For
- A Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT), Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT), Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT), or equivalent preferred but not required.
- At least 2 years of experience in veterinary appointments, surgeries, and nursing care.
- Proficiency in diagnostic imaging, anesthesia induction and monitoring, and surgical assistance.
- Skilled in phlebotomy, catheter placement, and handling medications, including controlled substances.
- Compassionate, detail-oriented, and a strong team player with excellent communication skills.
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive hourly pay: $28 - $35, based on experience and certifications.
