Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Sales & Estimating Representative to join our family-owned plumbing/ repiping company. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting on-site assessments, preparing and presenting accurate bids, building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, and working closely with our marketing team to increase revenue opportunities. The ideal candidate will have sales experience working in the home services industry, preferably within the plumbing field. Key Responsibilities
- Lead Generation: Actively seek out and identify new business opportunities through referrals, networking, and digital marketing campaigns.
- On-Site Estimating: Visit potential clients’ homes or businesses, assess the scope of work needed, and prepare accurate estimates based on the required services (repiping, plumbing, etc.).
- Bidding: Prepare competitive and thorough bids for clients, ensuring clarity and accuracy of pricing, timelines, and job specifications.
- Customer Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strong customer relationships, providing excellent customer service before, during, and after the completion of a job.
- Sales Closing: Effectively present and close sales by addressing customer needs, overcoming objections, and negotiating favorable terms for both the client and the company.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of estimates, contracts, and customer communications. Regularly report sales performance, lead generation efforts, and pipeline status.
- Market Awareness: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and market conditions to identify new sales opportunities and maintain a competitive edge.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the operations team to ensure a seamless transition from estimate to project completion.
- Certification & Compliance: Obtain asbestos test and lead-based paint certifications to support bid closures and ensure compliance with state regulations for reconstruction projects.
Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience in sales, estimating, or a similar role in home services (plumbing, repiping, HVAC, etc.)
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport quickly with customers.
- Ability to present technical information in a clear and approachable manner.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects at once.
- Proficiency with CRM systems and basic office software (Microsoft Office, Google Docs, etc.).
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the repiping, plumbing, or home services industry.
- Familiarity with local building codes and permit processes.
- Sales training or certifications.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
