Educational Coordinator
The Educational Coordinator will be joining a team of teachers with a passion to make a difference in the lives of children. The central focus of our team is to connect with each child and family and to encourage and support them daily. The Educational Coordinator will teach and communicate with intention and passion and maintain a culture where all staff can thrive and grow professionally. A culture that supports a positive environment for our teachers as well as the children and families that attend our center.
Primary Responsibilities
- Compliance, Curriculum, and Programming
- Oversee the planning and supervising of the center's learning and activity programing to ensure that practices are varied and developmentally appropriate
- Provide weekly documentation of Educational Coordinator responsibilities and follow up
- Be familiar with curriculum planning and implementation as well as ensure the center's continued compliance to classroom licensing requirements
- Supervise the day - to - day operations of classroom curriculum, daily scheduled, and programs, classroom licensing compliance
Skills Required
- Able to work confidently with staff, children, and parents.
- Knowledge and ability to work in any of the roles within the program.
- Proactive and team-oriented attitude to create a successful team environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication ability with parents and other members of the team.
- Ability to create a professional, productive, and positive environment for employees, parents, and children.
- Strong communication skills that reflect professionalism and tact at all times
- Dress professionally. Always follow the guidelines of the management dress code.
- Enforce all policies and procedures documented in the employee handbook, job description, and any other information verbally instructed by the Center Director or Regional Director.
Qualifications
- AA degree in ECE
- Meet the MERIT requirement and be listed on the state training and registry system.
- 2 years' experience working with children
- Must obtain TB test (negative result) before employment
- Employee must have a clear criminal, FBI finger printing and child abuse clearance completed before employment
- Current Child CPR and First Aid Card
- Ability to lift in excess of twenty (20) lbs
- Be at least twenty-one years of age

What We Need from You:
Education, Experience, and Training Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Must meet all state, federal, and Early Learning Academies guidelines regarding education, experience, immunizations, employment physical, and required health and safety training and practices.
- A valid driver's license is required if driving is a requirement of the position.
