Job Summary
The Quality Engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality and customer satisfaction. This includes developing and implementing quality assurance strategies, conducting customer meetings and audits, and performing root cause analysis to resolve quality-related issues.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and execute quality assurance strategies to ensure product compliance with customer specifications and industry standards.
- Collaborate with internal teams (production, engineering, and R&D) to drive continuous improvement and ensure quality standards are met.
- Monitor and track customer complaints and non-conformance reports (NCRs), ensuring effective follow-up and resolution.
- Review and approve First Article Inspections (FAI), inspection plans, and process validations to ensure product quality before production starts.
- Ensure proper documentation and reporting of quality metrics and performance in compliance with internal systems and customer requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 36 months general quality or manufacturing engineering experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 24-months specific experience in precision metals fabrication and machining.
- Certification in Quality Engineering (CQE) or similar credentials preferred.
